My sister-in-law (Camille) has had her Christmas decorations up since the beginning of November, and Chris, of course, has made fun of her. So as soon as Thanksgiving was over and we were home I got to work and now my decorations are just about all up. We are still debating the tree issue--we haven't had one in quite a while but maybe it is time.

This is a Gingerbread Chain. When we were little my mom would make these for each of us. Each night you cut off one cookie and eat it--when there is only 1 cookie left the next day will be Christmas! We have also filled them with chocolate kisses too.

Cute! This is what we are doing tonight at YW. Last night I made pieces to make 30 gingerbread houses! I think I mist be crazy!
What a great idea. I've been trying to think of someway to count down the days with the kids. Did you make the cookies? If so I need the recipe.
I also wondered if you made the cookies. That is so cute. And I think you need a tree. You don't want your kids to go to school, and be like "What's a Christmas tree? I never had one of those." It's the biggest part of Christmas, in my opinion!
That is my kind of Christmas countdown-cookies and chocolate!
Chris.... what the ?!?!?! What are you a Jehovah's Witness????
really?????? still no tree??? Ummm...Tiny Tim called....he said you should stop by for a visit
Love,
Dave ; )
And if you need a pick-up load of wooden pumpkins let me know.....maybe you could put lights and tinsel and lights on a wooden pumpkin
I have to defend myself...I love Christmas (it's my birthday month too) and last year I was in Brazil so I didn't get to celebrate (or decorate). I have been WAITING so long for Christmas 2008 - Chris is a grinch! He better be nice, we have his name for Christmas...
